If you object to MSG, milk

sprayed on growing food crops

I. Tell it to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (CDPR). They have approved using the product called AuxiGro for spray on grapes (including wine grapes), and are considering approvals for other crops. The CDPR relies heavily, but not entirely, on the recommendations of the EPA:
WITH YOUR COMMENTS YOU MIGHT WANT TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
How much processed free glutamic acid (MSG) residue will be left in and on grapes from application of AuxiGro? What is the amount?Does the CDPR know how much processed free glutamic acid it takes to kill brain cells, cause neuroendocrine disorders, or cause MSG-reactions in infants, children, the elderly, or highly MSG-sensitive people?
Why is the CDPR licensing a product that contains more processed free glutamic acid (MSG) than it says on the label?
Why is the CDPR licensing a product that contains hydrolyzed casein (milk) protein, a potentially lethal allergen? Why is the CDPR licensing a product that contains carcinogens?
YOUR CONTACT AT THE CDPR IS:II. Tell it to the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). Requirements for CDFA licensing are less rigorous than requirements for CDPR licensing. The CDFA has licensed AuxiGro for use as a fertilizer for tomatoes and grapes.Barry Cortez, Branch Chief

The Truth in Labeling Campaign has formally objected to the EPA allowing processed free glutamic acid (MSG), like the MSG used in AuxiGro, to be sprayed on food crops with no restriction on the amount that can remain in or on crops when brought to market. The EPA should be interested in your comments about the use of AuxiGro.
YOUR CONTACT AT THE EPA IS:
EPA Docket Control Number OPP-301136IV. To be most effective, copies of comments should be sent to State Legislators in California, Governor Gray Davis, and to Federal Representatives and Senators from every state, as well as to talk shows, local radio, TV, and newspapers. Phone, fax, e-mail, and mail are all appropriate.
